Stellar Blade Demo: Release Date & All Details

Players wanting to try the high-paced action of Stellar Blade with a demo will now be able to do so. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Earlier in the month, a demo for Stellar Blade accidentally leaked onto the PlayStation store, before being quickly removed. Naturally, fans got excited about when a demo would be officially released. The leak essentially confirmed one was coming before the full release date on Friday, April 26, 2024. Fortunately, we have good news for players wanting to play a demo for the game, and it comes directly from the director of the game, Hyung Tae Kim.

What Time Will The Stellar Blade Demo Be Available?

The Stellar Blade demo will launch in the PlayStation Store on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 7 am PST/ 10 EST/ 2 pm GMT/ 1 am AEST (March 31). This is the worldwide time for its release, and players can start downloading it directly from the PlayStation Store then. Demo release times vary from game to game, with some releasing at midnight and others later. Regarding download size, it is currently unknown how big the demo will be until it launches.

Full Stellar Blade Demo Details

The Stellar Blade demo includes the tutorial, as well as the first stage and boss fight. It takes place at the beginning of the game, in which Eve, the protagonist, is sent to Earth in a bid to reclaim the planet from the Naytiba.

You’ll be able to explore the ruined city of Eidos 7, as well as fight against a number of horrifying foes in smooth 60fps combat. The demo will end after you’ve defeated the first boss, which we suspect will take players around 1 to 2 hours to complete. However, once you’ve beaten the first stage, there is “a little surprise” in store. It’s not been clarified what that surprise is, but we imagine fans are in for a treat. Below is the teaser for the demo, which showcases exactly what you’ll get up to.

Does Your Stellar Blade Demo Progress Carry Over?

Yes, your Stellar Blade demo progress will carry over. This means that when you boot up the full game on April 26, you’ll be able to skip the first stage and load from your last checkpoint. All you need to do is ensure you still have your save data on your PS5.

That’s everything you need to know about when the demo for Stellar Blade is coming out. Players will get to experience a preview of the thrilling new PlayStation exclusive by SHIFT UP soon and see what awaits Eve and the remnants of humanity in their fight against the Naytiba.
